Do I own my Facebook page or does Facebook?
Facebook owns the platform, and your page exists under its terms — meaning it can restrict, suspend, or change how your page works without your consent. You control the content you post, but not the reach, the rules, or continued access. Pages do get disabled, sometimes mistakenly, and appeals can be slow. A website, by contrast, is something you genuinely own and control. That’s a key reason not to build your entire online presence on a platform someone else owns.
